IHC Cost Difference
You’ll find that your new IHC home will be MORE efficient on many levels. During construction, you’ll be amazed at how much faster your home takes shape than with traditional construction methods. Because our engineered timbers have a uniform moisture content, they weigh dramatically less than a conventional log might weigh. Even our longest timbers can be set by hand! On the jobsite, you’ll save time and labor costs, waste will be minimal, and you’ll be moving in before you know it.
Design Collections & Floor Plans
From cozy weekend cabins to spacious estates, IHC designs are engineered for mountainous areas with heavy snows, seaside retreats, or any location from the arctic to the tropics, where you choose to call home.
Find inspiration in our standard floor plans, or sharpen your own ideas with the help of our design team for the unique custom dream home you’ve always wanted.

Oss, Holland
This government building highlights green building technologies. Located on a beautiful lake in Holland, this unique construction incorporates the natural surroundings. The long sloped portion of the roof has been turned into a "green" roof adding sustainable features to the project. There are unique windows placed strategically about for great views and exterior esthetics. A large breezeway connects two buildings with outside views.
Maui, Hawaii
This custom hale ohana or "family home" is located upcountry on the island of Maui, Hawaii. It is a smaller ranch style home, but finished beautifully and equipped with solar panels to take advantage of the endless supply of Hawaiian sunshine.
Limburg, Belgium
This two-level restaurant and catering service was built by the owners themselves, using our simple building process. Each year, nearly 1/3 of our customers build or manage their home project themselves.
Greenlake, WA
This custom home is located in the Greenlake area of Seattle, Washington. It is a great example of a modern design in an urban setting. One might think that an all cedar home may not "fit" in a city setting. Not true. This home is actually the gem of the entire neighborhood.
Denali, AK
Luxury hotel just outside the entrance to the Denali National Park in Alaska.
Almere, Netherlands
This vertical masterpiece truly puts a modern spin on traditional timber homes. This three level home incorporates a second level roof top balcony with 270 degree views. The angular design along with the flat roof gives this home a very contemporary feel.
Kintnersville, PA
This elegant home features a wide open floor plan with a private master suite spanning the entire width of the second floor, wide open basement, high ceilings with skylights for ample natural light, and features a sun room on the main floor. Use of our D-Log timber allows it to blend right in to its wooded setting
Murren, Switzerland
This Swiss retreat is located in the heart of the Swiss Alps. The home is built into a steep side of a mountain and features four bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, first and second floor kitchens, ample deck and balcony space with beautiful mountain views and custom balcony railing giving the home a country cottage look and feel.
Shelton, WA
This magnificent home has a very open floor plan with views from the kitchen into the great room which has a large gable end with large windows looking out on a lake. A large master suite is located in its own separate wing of the house making it very private. There is a large open loft area as well as a wide open basement for entertainment. The home incorporates a wrap-around deck for beautiful 180 degree views of the water front.
